What should success look like for every student in Rio Rancho Public Schools? What do our schools need to help every student thrive? What should we be doing differently as we prepare for the future?
These are some of the important questions we will explore through Horizon 2040, Rio Rancho Public Schools’ strategic planning process. Horizon 2040 will help establish a shared vision for the future of our district and guide our priorities and work over the next several years. Most importantly, this process will be shaped by the voices of the students, families, staff, and community members we serve.
There will be several ways to participate over the coming months, including a community survey and a series of in-person conversations, as well as a virtual meeting.

The Horizon 2040 Community Survey is an opportunity to share your perspective on what is working well in RRPS, where we should improve, and what should be most important as we plan for the future.

We plan to provide Spanish interpretation services at all meetings. If you would like to attend and need interpretation services other than Spanish, please email communications@rrps.net.
Whether you are a parent or guardian, student, staff member, graduate, business partner, or community member, your perspective is important to this process. We encourage you to complete the Horizon 2040 Community Survey and join us for one of these conversations.
The decisions we make today will help shape Rio Rancho Public Schools for years to come, including the experience of our current four-year-old preschool students who will graduate as the Class of 2040. Together, we can build a strategic plan that reflects the aspirations of our community and creates a clear path forward for every student.
Thank you for being part of Horizon 2040, and have a wonderful fall break!
Sincerely,
Robert W. Dodd, EdD
Superintendent
